Heritage Architecture were first approached in 2015 to secure planning permission and listed building consent for the refurbishment of this Grade II* Listed building in the Harley Street Conservation Area. The brief was to restore the building to its former glory as a prime single residence, conserving its original features and enhancing its historical character.
Located to the south of Regents Park in one of London’s most striking streets, the building was designed by the celebrated architects Robert and James Adam in the late 1770s. It features many of the Adam hallmarks of elegantly proportioned and detailed interiors with ornate decorative plasterwork.
Heritage Architecture worked closely alongside the lead architects and wider project team, providing heritage and conservation input throughout to ensure a sensitive and conservation lead approach that secured the building’s special historic and architectural interest.
The project was granted listed building consent and planning permission in 2015, with further revisions to this consent made in 2017, 2020 and 2021.
