Unauthorised Works
The statutory protections in place that preserve our built heritage mean that there are extensive restrictions in place meaning that necessary consents are required in order to alter listed buildings. Unfortunately, the process of applying for change can be hard to navigate. We help our clients to understand the process. Where unauthorised works are suspected to have taken place, we undertake detailed surveys and historical research to enable us to establish the building’s morphology and to obtain a clear understanding of the changes that have occurred. Using our multi-disciplinary expertise, we offer advice on how to mitigate or reverse changes in a way that satisfied the obligation.
